To observe the change of immune globulin and complement in 60 patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) of damp-heat retention spleen syndrome. The result showed that the level of IgG was higher than normal value (P<0.01), there were no obvious difference between IgA, IgM, C3, C4 and normal value. After treating with TCM differentiation, the level of IgG decreased markely, there was obvious difference before and after treatment (P<0.01). These patients showed active copy of HBV, obvious inflammation of liver cells and hyperfunction of humoral immunity. The C3 is normal, which indicates the patients are not too weak, and in the stage of healthy qi and pathological factor struggle. Treatment according to TCM differentiation can regulates the humoral immune function and improves the clinical symptom.
