It shows that there exists some radial, tube-like channels in corn and sorghum starch granules, they penetrate from the external surface inward a cavity at the hilum in recent study. Based on the knowledge, it can be conclude that the prospect of starch chemic modify lies in orientating modify. That is controlling the position of substitute group in amylose or amyloectin of starch granules, and orientating the substitute group in the single glucose unit.
