Weisang, or the cultural custom of burning offerings for smoke, plays an important role in the Tibetans' daily life. In the Tibetan areas of Yunnan province, there is a variety in selection of material for weisang. Similarly, the weisang rites vary obviously in different areas and changes with the time. The selection of material has much to do with the Tibetans' daily life, emphasizing both the function and the flexibility. Also, The ecological principle is observed in the collecting plants for weisang.
